On Tuesday 16th July Starchaser commercial space access visited St James’ as part of our Curriculum Excellence week. The day was fascinating for students as they witnessed the unveiling of the largest rocket ever to be launched from the UK.

Students were interviewed as part of the day by BBC Radio Manchester, Granada ITV news, BBC Northwest tonight, the Tameside reporter and HITs radio.

The students were an absolute credit to the school and asked the Managing Director of Starchaser, Steve Bennett, very pertinent questions.

Dr Guscott was also interviewed by the media outlets and explained the significance of the rocket visit and how it fits with our value of excellence within Curriculum Excellence week.
